Anne Fensie Director
|
Anne joined Wiscasset Adult & Community Education as the Director in August 2008. Recently, she had been an instructor and assistant director with MSAD#5 Adult Education in Rockland, where she coordinated the College Transition program and taught a variety of vocational and enrichment courses. She has also been an adjunct computer instructor for the University of Maine at Augusta since 2006.
Like many that work in adult education, Anne has a diverse background. Originally a performing classical trombonist, Anne caught the teaching bug and got her first job teaching music in a Catholic high school in Massachusetts. After receiving her Masters in Instructional Technology, she then worked as a professional developer. The decision to raise a family brought her back to her hometown of Camden.
Anne is passionate about providing Mainers with the opportunity to improve their life and work situation through education. Her special interests are in family literacy, workforce development, and higher education. She has begun the doctoral program in higher educational leadership at UMO.
As a mother of three small children, Anne realizes how complicated schedules can be and the importance of time. She works hard to design programs with flexible schedules that meet the needs of a variety of lifestyles and interests. If there is a program you would like to see added to the offerings at Wiscasset Adult & Community Education, or you have questions about how we can help you achieve your goals, please contact Anne Fensie at 882-9710 or email Anne@MyAdultEd.org.

Pat Cloutier Administrative Assistant
|
Pat is friendly, helpful, and always willing to assist with your questions and registrations.
Patricia Cloutier spent 27 years in the printing industry, from the factory floor to customer service to sales, before retiring to the “good life”. Finding the good life a little wanting, she arrived at the Warren Free Public Library as an assistant, creating fun-filled events, helping the library become a more integral part of the community, offering an alternative venue for various presentations of historic, musical and artistic value. One day, in walked an employee of MSAD 40 looking for one good woman.. and there she sat!
"My initial introduction to adult education was enlightening to say the least," says Pat. "I came to the realization that adult education was an important and necessary accessory to the educational system. There are many people out there that cannot realize their dreams without the help of adult education, a means to get their GED or High School diploma, find out about continuing education and go to college or have access to a craft or trip that could enrich their life."
Pat joined Wiscasset Adult & Community Education in 2009, bringing her passion for life long learning to another community. Her forte has always been in seeking information for others, helping to resolve an issue, Internet searching and teaching things that might be of interest to others. Her highly developed ability to multitask serves our program well as there is always something new happening in adult education.
I’m am always perplexed that it took me many jobs, much time and learning a variety of skills to come to something I feel I was so meant to do!
